I don't think people really grasp just how big and powerful PETA really is. They are a huge special interest group and believe it or not, they have the money to support the congressmen that supports their views to get their agenda pushed through congress. Supporters will tell you that this statement (above) is made out of fear, but for all the research that shows the good they do, there is plenty to support their "real" agenda.
