Thanks. I brought his bedding with me and washed it because it was so dirty and his one bed fell apart but I put his other bed next to me on my bed and he is sleeping soundly next to me. My girls have all settled down. He learned to use the ramp right away which is good. He couldn't sleep on his owners bed because she had one of those real high beds but he seems happy sleeping on my bed and I have a night light on so he can get off during the night if he wants to. I feel so bad for him and his owner. One of the nurses in the ICU asked if I could bring a picture of him up for Carol as she thought it would help Carol in her recovery and said that she was trying to engage Carol by talking to her about Nikki. I thought that was so sweet of her. Hopefully everyone will get a goods nights sleep. One strange thing happened tonight, my husband, who has been wonderful with Nikki, was playing on the bed with Roxie tugging a toy from her and Nikki ran over and growled at him. So I guess we will learn what upsets him and try and work with him. He was fine right after and was licking my husband's hand. I will keep you posted. |
