My Max is a mix breed. He is a Morkie (half Maltese and half Yorkie).
I needed a hypo-allergenic type of dog for my allergies.
I love him so much and he has the best disposition. However, I would not get a mixed breed and pay the designer dog price again to a "puppy mill" breeder.
I learned so much on Yorkie Talk.
Max had so many issues right after I got him from the "breeder". He had ring worm all over his entire body (gave it to me, my DH and our 4 kids), he had a skin bacterial infection, ear mites, yeast ear infection, ...Took a year to get the ringworm under control. We have spent thousands on his health care.
Max also has Stage 2 Luxating Patella (diagnosed at 1.5 years old).
I am afraid of what might be next. He just turned 2 years old
6 months ago I bought a happy & healthy Yorkie from a breeder here on YT.
I can not tell you how different this experience is.
