Age is a factor too, and also his potty training status
With Remy, he has to be left with free run of the house. He has had free run since he was little, and he is as quiet as a mouse. However if you try to confine him he will bark incessantly. When at my parents, they will leave him with free run as well, but will use baby gates to block off the living room. He does not seem to mind being kept OUT of a room, as long you are not trying to keep him IN a room. LOL, little stinker |
When he was a baby I confined him in a crate and he still barks. 3 years ago, i confined him in one area with baby gates. Problem is that is he only does this when I leave the house or when someone comes into the house. It is driving my neighbors nuts. I give him a treat whenever I leave and he will take it to his bed, that is when I leave. Once he is done with his treat he will bark. I can hear him outside my door. I don't know if its anxiety or not. I am running out of options.
