I live in a condo so I empathize
When you leave him is he crated, in a ex-pen, in an area cordoned off with baby gates, or does he have free run of the house? Depending on what you are currently doing, you may need to try another game plan - IE - if he is crated, try to leave him in a ex-pen or a room with gates closing off areas you do not want him to have access to
Age is a factor too, and also his potty training status
With Remy, he has to be left with free run of the house. He has had free run since he was little, and he is as quiet as a mouse. However if you try to confine him he will bark incessantly. When at my parents, they will leave him with free run as well, but will use baby gates to block off the living room. He does not seem to mind being kept
OUT of a room, as long you are not trying to keep him
IN a room. LOL, little stinker
