I did! Twice here in NY. The first experience was good and you couldn't be the price! This was in the throws of my Trixie's aggressive days and I was trying to get a handle on it. The trainer insisted everyone use choke collars and I insisted that was NOT going to happen and I won fast. Like anything you got back what you put into it. If I practiced, she learned but all you learn is sit stay lay down, heel and come. She would address individual needs as well.
Then I signed Lexi up when she was a baby. This trainer didn't do it for me like the last - she was ok but I think she was just a glorified petco person with a training manual and not a real trainer. Lexi was always so good and I thought about it and said do I really care if she learns to lay down? No - so I ditched the rest of the semester and didnt go back -- but in their defense, she has never forgotten sit which was the first command we covered! Lay down - only sometimes. |
