I don't have a Great Dane, but I do have a Great Pyrenees. I agree with the others that accidents can and do happen. So you have to treat them different than the little ones. Garrett (GP) doesn't get to run in the house and I'm always keeping a watchful eye on were the little ones are and where he is. On the other side of that I also think the little ones need to watch out for his big feet too so I make them all wait before going out and only let them go when I say their name. So Garrett goes out then the little ones go. It works for us. Yes they run in the yard together, but the little ones stay out from under his feet and Garrett is very careful where he steps. He really lets them get away with murder like a good big brother LOL Good luck and post pictures of which ever you decide Please
