You're right about purchasing online - If I ever were going to do that - which I'm not and wouldn't - I'd be researching for a long long time before I handed someone that much money - It sounds like they really scammed you and for that - I do hope you go after them. Dog Switching is common - they show you a cute puppy and ship another.....I'm saying this only because of a MILL I was helping Fox News go after - Inside Edition got involved - ordered a puppy undercover - and were shipped a different puppy with alot of health issues - talk about BUSTED.
ps - the mill was Brushy Creek Kennels in Hockley tx - They had alot of sites and shipped dogs all over the place (I didn't know all this till AFTER I visited)
so I feel for you that you were misled - but it's a good warning to others about who you deal with
