I beleive it, I breed silky terriers and when I took my girl to a reproduction vet to get a few tests done, the person conducting the test told me that some breeders were breeding silky girls to Yorkie studs so they could get more puppies per breeding, I thought it was crazy, but that is what GREED does to our beloved breeds. and then they are registering the pups as pure breed yorkshire terriers and some others were registered as silky terriers, and the lines have been cross over and over... that is why now the Responsible breeders DO NOT breed unless DNA testing have been done to both, stud and Dam. And maybe you should explained better, but you did say you were planing on breeding a 3-4 pound girl..
