Honestly, when discussing commercial pet food companies, there never is a 100% guarantee that there won't be quality control issue or an accidental bad batch -- companies and particularly people aren't perfect and mistakes happen. Personally, I like to avoid this by preparing my own raw although recalls happen with human food too! I think the best you can do is do your research, ask the company questions, and pick one that you are comfortable with. I do keep some pre-made raw on hand and companies I use include Bravo and Primal. I would also use Stella and Chewy's and Paw Naturaw (this would probably be my number one pick) if I had local access to it. If recall issues arise in the future with these companies, I may reevaluate. I think that's how you have to approach it. You can only do what you feel is best, and 99% of the time, that's good enough. |
