I had my cat spayed years ago, the vet didn't put an e-collar so after my cat recovered from anesthesia, the 1st thing she did was biting off the stitches (it was the 1st day), the 2nd day she did it again all eventually all stitches came out on 2nd day. We didn't worry too much because the incision was less than 1cm (incredibly small) and it looked really fine, one more to add is, my cat wasn't very active, she didn't like to run, she just loved to take her own sweet time walking and resting. Is your furkid a very active one?
