 Alot of blood in urine still...on zelaquin
I hope someone can give me some insight...we adopted a 3 year old little girl last week and noticed blood in her urine..alot of blood. Took her right to the vet where he did a urinalysis as well as a blood test. I thought that she maybe had a bladder stone since she has had them in the past. Tests came back with a high red cell count in urine, but not alot of white cells. There are NO crystals in the urine. She also eats brown rice, cottage cheese and chicken baby food. This is the diet the former owners where told to feed her because of her previous bladder stones. The vet prescribed 20mg. of zelaquin (sp.?) once daily for 14 days. If that does not help...we will have to do xrays, ultra sound, etc. Well, we are on day 5 of the zelaquin and blood showed up again today after disappearing for 3 days. Should this be happening still? I am soo worried and would appreciate any input. TIA |
