I got Tessa, my first breeder female, 2 years ago and have monitored her heat cycles so that I could keep up with her "routine" or "schedule" as best as possible. I knew I wanted to breed her after she turned 2 and decided that this heat cycle would be her first breeding. well......based on her past heat cycles, I figured she should have gone into heat early January. well....I have been watching her like a hawk and nothing.
I have had the stud on standby, patiently waiting LOL I noticed some "signs" from her...constantly having her tail raised, rubbing up on our other dog a lot, being very fiesty, her appetite changed....but she never swelled and never bled. nada. nothing. zilch. Is it possible she had a "silent heat"?
