I was just doing more reading on camera features when I saw your post. I know what two of the letter abbreviations mean:
VC = Vibration Control
IF = Internal Focus (this means the lens has the autofocus motor built in)
I'm still reading, so I'll see if I can find any of the others.
Oh, & I think LD = Low Dispersion (referring to contrast & resolution performance).
