Default Lost My Little Baby to Liver Shunt.

I have always wanted a Yorkie and I got one for Christmas 09. A baby Girl named Sofie, we have no children so to us she was our baby. She was so sweet and loving and couldn't of asked for a lovlier puppy.

She never never showed any kind of problems till Tuesday 2/9/10. She was running around really spaced out, running into things, trying to climb onto walls. As if she could not see. Since it was in the evening we had to take her to the emergency room. Turned out she had a liver shunt, something I had never heard of. They stabalized her and sent her home and said to take her to the vet in the morning. All that night I did not sleep a wink taking care of her. Around 7:30 am, I noticed that she was starting to get weaker. I couldn't wait till her 8:15 apt. By the time we go to the vet she was almost in a comatose stage. I was in tears. The vet said she was not looking too good, but kept her to see if she could stabalize her. At around 11:30 AM...the vet called me and said she had peacefully passed away.

I am so devastated! She was just 3 months old.
