I read a book a few years ago about the necessity of vaccinations being given every year and the fact that if testing were done on dogs after a vaccination, they would have the immunity and not need the vaccinations to be repeated. It was very interesting. I asked my vet about it and he was aware of the issues but said unless the protocol or something was changed that they would continue as they were doing. I just remember realizing the fact that he did not dispute the fact. If innoculations for humans are given only once or so why do dogs need them every year? Just wondering?
