Blades for pet grooming are the opposite lengths of blades for humans. Where a #10 for humans is long, the #10 is very short. Depending on how long you want them...I use #4F on cotton/wool type hair. Make sure it has an 'F' after the number or you get a Skip Tooth blade. Those blades easily cut dogs with an untrained hand. For Yorkies with the silky hair I go shorter with a #7F. It keeps it short and not choppy.
