The when we picked him up the groomer said that he had a seizure during grooming. He has never had anything like this happen before and the vet and groomer said they didnt know why it happened to just keep an eye on him. He acted fine when we got home and played for an hour then we layed down in the bed and both fell asleep. The phone rang and startled him which sent him into a seizure where his body was completely rigid and shaking badly and was urinating and foaming at the mouth. I rubbed some karo syrup on his gums as they were pale white during, and he seems fine and is eating and drinking and playing but if he was hypoglycemic wouldnt we have noticed before now? The vet is not answering there phone which im not sure of anyways as he never had problems before today.

Wow, that's scary, you don't say how much he weighs, but it's possible it could be a hypoglycemic episode. Many breeders recommend free feeding during the early months, so that blood sugar never gets too low. Just active playing can cause blood sugar to drop too low, and you must remember that stress can do the same thing. It's possible that the day was too stressful, but I've never read of such a severe reaction, others can tell you more. I hope your baby's is ok, and good for you for the quick thinking and using karo syrup; white gums are very serious. Be sure he gets some food that has protein in it, the karo syrup can raise blood sugar too much and another hypoglycemia attack can occur in a few hours.
