you can tell they have you on ignore as you cannot send them a private message when you click on their username I believe - if they take you off ignore you can see by them allowing you to send a private message
not sure about the settings on your profile but you may be able to block others not on your friend list from seeing your information and from sending you messages as well- like facebook
