I really feel for those who have been out of work for so long. Its so hard and sad that parts of the country are in that situation. They say MA has one of the highest unemployment rates, yet I see jobs and apply for them often. I WANT to say I feel so lucky to have a job... but I don't. When you are exploited and not treated fairly or right, you do wonder if you'd be better off unemployed and free to keep searching for jobs.

Right now those that ARE working are taking huge hits too. They live in fear of layoffs and when they are spared they pick up the work of those laid off for no more pay, but actually take paycuts to avoid more layoffs. Their benefits disappear and morale is so low that the environment is extremely volatile. By the end of an 8 hour day you are burnt out and stressed to the max. Its really a catch-22 situation... yes I'm glad I have a job, but its not the easiest thing to be working in this economy either.
