Generally in a sensitive breed like Yorkies, their risk outweighs their benefit. I would think long and hard while doing lots of research before giving these.

Blood work should be done 1-2 times a year when dogs hit about age 6. However, it is a good idea to start now. A urinalysis could also be added. Fecals should be done at least once yearly, but preferrably twice, for all dogs. Some vets require heartworm testing before writing a new prescription. Then neutering should be considered if it hasn't already been done and teeth should be given attention during the exam. In a couple years especially, it may be time to start dentals unless you do home care.
key word here VACCINES ARE TO BE GIVEN TO HEALTHY DOGS - it says right on the vaccine so if your dog is sick or has health issues then look into waivers for your county. Never give a dog that is sick a vaccine as their system is compromised and opening the door for a problem- wait until better then you can resume with vaccinations

vet gave my dog bordatella intranasal vaccine when he was deathly ill with pancreatitis and hospital said what the heck was she thinking - i had no clue - the road i have been on in dealing with vet errors has led me to try and help others
