I am so sorry I didnt post an update last night I was just so tired I couldnt even think. The people at the orthopedic surgeons office where so wonderful and nice. He examined Callie everywhere and layed a towel down under her so she didnt have to lay on the cold table. He checked her LP as well and said that instead of it popping out to the inside like most it pops to the outside. When he checked the shoulder she cried out and I wanted to cry but he was so sweet and as gentle as possible with her. He told us somethings he thought it could be and that he tried to look at the xrays I brought but that he couldnt get them light enough and zoomed in enough on a certain part and he wanted to stress a certain area during one of the xrays. So they sedated her and took xrays while we waited in the waiting room. He came back out and took us to one of the rooms to show us the xrays and said that pretty much the shoulder pops out 35% farther then it should which has stretched and weakened the ligaments. He would like to try the conservative approach by trying to strengthen the muscles around the shoulder joint by doing physical therapy and a harness/ shoulder hobbles by dogleggs.com. Then in 4 to 6 months he would like to recheck and see how its going and if this is not working to do an MRI to get a closer look and the ligaments. I donno how sedation is supposed to be normally but Callie was really out of it she had the stares, she would fall asleep and then her head would fall because she had it up when she fell asleep, then when we got home she just stood there and she fell over thank goodness she was right next to her pillow and fell on it so I finally got her laying down and she rested. I know I shouldnt have but I didnt have her buckled in her carseat on the way home because she just sat in it and stared at me trying to stay awake and falling over so I picked her up and she slept with her head on my shoulder the hour ride home. She seems pretty much back to normal this morning.Normally Callie is a kisser but when I asked Callie for a kiss after they gave her back to me she wouldnt and she wouldnt even look at me then later on I asked her again and she just put her mouth right up to my lips but after being home for an hour she finally relented and gave me a kiss.
