I would just ask my vet how much food she needs daily just to be sure. I have always fed my 7lb boy 1/2 cup total a day and he maintains his weight. My 5lb girl gets 1/4 cup total,and she tends to gain easily. This is just the kibble, they also get veggies (green bean, sugar snap peas and carrots) on their evening meal. I also give 1 T canned plain pumpkin or plain yogurt as a mid morning snack
