Have you ever had a yorkie before? If not, you're in for more fun and years of unconditional love than you could imagine. You won't see much hair growth in just a month. She is a good size and should be a healthy yorkie, too. They aren't so fragile when they are not so tiny. If her hair is very short, it will probably be several months before you notice any growth. You might want to get some multi-vitamins, such as Pet-Tabs and give her one every day. Feeding her an excellent food will make a difference, too. The Wal-Mart and grocery store brands are not good foods. If you need advice on them, just about anyone here can give you the names of a number of them. Also, it's important that she be bathed in a shampoo that does not dry out her coat and skin. I never needed a special shampoo on mine, but I used Pro-V shampoo w/conditioner successfully. It has always left their coats soft and easy to manage. Also, when you brush her coat when it is dry, you can cause breakage if you aren't careful. Use a wire brush with ball tips and use a spray-in conditioner before you brush.
