This happened to my son's dog and the doctor suggested some canned pumpkin as well as pepcid. Check the poop, it took about 5 days before we started seeing fibrous poop. I think about 1 Tablespoon of pumpkin for every 5 pounds is what they suggest. Remember not to use pumpkin pie filling it has sugar in it; use regular canned pumpkin. I'd probably keep him on his regular food, and just add the pumpkin. Sometimes changing the diet can do more harm than good. The pepcid stopped the vomiting. |
