I actually think the damage is done before they remove the tape, it a skin reaction to the adhesive, all I can say is the pain is horrible. Sometimes rashes can look bad, but not be too painful, but in this case, it's very painful. I hope you can find something that soothes it, mine was very much like a really bad burn; it blistered and scabbed over. I imagine the longer the tape is on the skin, the worse the burn.
