Let's even say...for instance her dog went in for any other reason and needed a bandage even to hold an iv in place...this still could still have happened.
All I'm saying is even tho' most spay & neuters do not require a bandage and one was applied in this case...it is more than likely a reaction to the sticky adhesive on the back of the tape.
If you google images of allergic reactions to adhesive bandages...you'll see what I'm talking of.

By anyway, I think the vet/vet tech should have at least use some lotion/alcohol/anything to help removing the adhesive tape, I don't know..I'm not a doctor, I don't know if it's Ok to remove adhesive tape using lotion on sensitive skin
