This happened to Samson a few days after we got him neutered. We were giving him pain meds once a day and on about the 3rd or 4th day when we went to get him up out of his crate there was diarrhea all over and when he got out he vomited. I think he may have tried to eat the poo because it was in his crate and that may have been why he got sick. I freaked out and called the vet right away!!!! Thank god it was a Sat. and not a Sun. and I was able to take him in a couple hours later. The vet said it was the meds that were bothering his stomach and the blood was a sign of irritation. He gave him a shot for infection just in case and a shot to help his tummy and we had to give him an oral antibiotic for 8 days just in case. That day he kinda slept a lot but after that he was fine.
