If you have your female spayed before it goes into season for the
first time it will have a
nearly zero chance of getting mammary cancer. If you have her spayed after her first or subsequent heats she will still have a chance of getting cancer, but it is significantly less. It also lessens the chance of her having UTIs and reproductive tract issues.
