I only started taking Sandy out when he's around 15 wks old. He's paper trained by our breeder. I got him in November and it's already cold. He didn't like to be outside. What I tried to do first was to let him run on the balcony. He's usually there for a min and ran back because it's freezing cold.
When I first took him out in the yard, he would just sit on the ground, shaking and refused to walk when he's on the leash. Our time outside was short, only 5 mins or less. It took us a few days and he finally started to walk with me and enjoys his time outside and he loves playing in the snow.
It takes time for pups to get used to outside and patience in the key. I believe Hepburn will learn to potty outside very soon. |
