My dexie went for his first grooming,I stayed there and watched them the whole time.they gave him a tranquilizer with my permission because he is to wild and i was scared they will cut him if they dont and thats worse.he was very sleepy and sad for about 6-8 hours.he is fine now.dont worry.they soon forget the little bit of trauma.hope it helps.
