Of course not! It's actually a question I don't receive often. Being specific, but not having exceedingly high expectations is important. It's difficult for a groomer to give you that perfect image of what you want your dog to look like. That's something that everyone needs to accept and give some leeway.

I ask my customers questions about everything. Ok Teddy bear head? Well do you want it long or short, do you want tipped ears or just trimmed? Do you want a visor or a topknot? Bringing in a dozen pictures of what you want your dog to look like doesn't always help. Not every dog has the same hair texture. Your specific instructions on what you do and do not want are the best tools.

If your dog looks different, ask your groomer why it looks different from what you requested. "Why are Lola's feet not rounded like I requested?" You might be surprised to hear your Groomer say "I apologize, but Lola really doesn't like her feet touched. She struggles quite a bit. That was the best I could do without injuring her." As always, there's always those jerks who think they know what is best for your dog. In that case dump em!
