We had been looking at getting a yorkie shortly after the loss of our Border Terrier, Pepper. We found a great family that had one little girl left. They puppies are 4 weeks old. The dad is 6 pounds and the mom is 4. The puppies are all light colored. The one little girl left (the one we bought) is a little big bigger than the other pups in the litter. Her coat is straighter than the other puppies. The breeder told us she was born a few minutes before the others and was maturing faster.
I have a few questions. Will her coat remain light as she grows older? Since she is maturing faster, will this somehow affect her? Is she going to be larger than she should or will the others eventually catch up to her?

Sorry for all the questions, it's been awhile since we've had a puppy!
yay for getting a new puppy

HOW much bigger is she than the other pups? The breeder should be able to give you her weight now and how big she was when she was born.

Her coat should now be black and tan- have you seen the parents? If they are both silver and tan chances are she will turn into that as well0 but my Layla is 4 and is still black and tan

She will probably be somewhere between 4 and 6 pounds, but if either of her grandparents were bigger- she could be too. weight is a tricky thing- you can usually double their 12 week weight to get an adult weight.
