| Puppy larger than litter mates? Hi! Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong section, I'm new to this! We had been looking at getting a yorkie shortly after the loss of our Border Terrier, Pepper. We found a great family that had one little girl left. They puppies are 4 weeks old. The dad is 6 pounds and the mom is 4. The puppies are all light colored. The one little girl left (the one we bought) is a little big bigger than the other pups in the litter. Her coat is straighter than the other puppies. The breeder told us she was born a few minutes before the others and was maturing faster. I have a few questions. Will her coat remain light as she grows older? Since she is maturing faster, will this somehow affect her? Is she going to be larger than she should or will the others eventually catch up to her? Sorry for all the questions, it's been awhile since we've had a puppy! |
