I think most of the rescues have an adoption fee of a few hundred dollars or so. It is to my understanding that they usually don't get enough monetary donations and when they do rescue these dogs from animal shelters, they give them medical care which sometimes include surgery, dental cleaning, neutering/spaying, grooming, vaccinations and microchips. They have to recoup their funds in some fashion. I adopted Max from a rescue for $200. He was in great health, on heartworm meds already etc.

I think the idea of a section for "rehoming" dogs from a rescue facility or foster home is a great idea.
