Good questions. The only thing I'd wonder about is - some of the listings on those sites could easily be scammers.....It would be hard to weed them out if they even bothered to join this site - I have a feeling some are just out to score $$... Plus - YT could become 'BYB Central' or a mini version of all those sites.
I agree there should be TWO sections - one for legit Shelter Saves and one for Re-homing - that way people would have the links and be able to make a connection to whoever is listed as the contact person...
I especially like a SHETER Rescue Only section - If it worked - members could go get those poor dogs - THEN post in the RE_HOMING Section ....or people could still post links as they're doing now along with the adoption fees....
These are just random thoughts - but I think things do need a little re-vamping .... I have a feeling some great dogs who's lives are in danger are slipping thru the many posts.... |
