Vets have different views on spaying while in heat, my vet waits until the heat is over to spay, but you can call your vet and talk to them about it, and schedule an appt for the spay. Some vets charge more because a girl in heat can bleed a lot during the surgery. At least that is what my vet said. Silky girls tend to bleed a bit more than yorkies,at least my girls do,specially between day 3 and 5 by day 7 is already changing to light pink and by day 12 to 16 they are ovulating, so you must be careful that she DOES NOT get close to any males until at least day 25.
