Breeders that are trying to achieve that "perfect standard" also usually show their dogs, which is not cheap. By the time you consider all of the vet fees, the small litters, the prices for your breeding stock, and the cost of your facilities that you will need to prevent unwanted breedings, chips and scanners, then you ad the show entries and travel, I haven't come out ahead yet. I work 1 full time job and 2 part time jobs just to support my "Yorkie Habit".
