Congrats on your new baby. When we brought Reesie home one the first day, I feed him in his crate first thing so he would be used to being in there. Also, I let him take a nap in it during the day so it would not be so scary for him at night. When I did put him in it, I would walk out of the room, or go to another floor of the house so he could not see or hear me. If he saw me, it just made it worse for him and he wanted to get out to be with me. He did cry, but it only took about 15 min or so and then he was fine. Hope this helps. I know their crying can be so hard on us mommies.
