This is what I use for tail docking and dew claws, is a topical anesthetic and Antiseptic, we also use it for microchiping, it works so far for us and it helps the babies with pain if any. My pups are docked and dewclawed at 3 or 4 days old. Like with any product caution is required when applying to the puppies.
