Mmmm...breeding just to fulfil your own personal "wants"....not exactly the best reason in the world to breed.
You have years before your guy will be ready to breed in any event, so lucky for you there is plenty of time to research. Breeding is not all just fun and games of the sake of getting a 'cute pup just like him.' I suggest that if you are interested in possible becoming a RESPONSIBLE breeder in the future, you start by working with a mentor NOW and learning all you can so that you can actually make an informed decision on whether breeding your little guy would be in your best interest, his best interest, and the best interest of the breed in general.
