me too! I have suffered from insomnia for a couple of years now. it is related to menopause, I think. I fall asleep for about 3 hours each night, and then that's it. I wake up, and toss and turn until it is time to wake up. Sometimes I am able to fall back asleep right before my alarm goes off! Unfortunately, I work, and so I do not have the option of staying in bed.
I have tried OTC meds with some success. Exercise also helps. Not right before bed, though. If I exercise early in the day, I usually sleep well that night.
I am getting a hot tub next week. I think it might also help me to relax before bed. i used to have a hot tub back in Maine and I really miss it. |
