It's pretty clear this is a tough thread for some people, but I think it's valid and important - the thread is about so much more than just its topic. As triggering as some of these posts are (for me too!  ), I hope we can all maintain our cool as best we can, so the discussion can continue.

would be offended if you were talking about my dog, but I thought you were talking about the dog in the video? Lol, I'm sooo confused. I get what you're saying. I'm just saying if someone told ME "he would be a lot cuter withOUT his tail..." I'd be a little like, oohhkay, well your dogs nub is ugly and he would look so much cuter with a fluffy tail.
I also understand that everybody finds something different cute. Some people think Pugs are hideous, but I'm sure their owners wouldn't appreciate being told that they weren't cute, ya know? Dogs become like our children (obviously - I think everyone on this site knows that! lol) and I don't think it's cool to judge dogs cuteness publicly.
