Default service dog vs therapy dog

1-A service dog helps someone with a disability

2-A therapy dog goes to hospitals, etc to greet others like nursing homes

The Golden Retrieve has given the image of a good service dog, but it can be
any dog approved by your doctor

Service dog requires physicians & vets signature

Therapy dog requires vet signature

Vet signature is saying that the dog is of good manner and in good health

Physican signature states you have a health issue that you would

benefit with a dog

Then there is the companion dog that provides companionship to a person
This takes your vets signature but not your physicians signature
Since a companion dog is not used as a service dog for a disabillty
Companion dog you don't need to have a disability

In all situations the dog must be safe for others and yourself, dog must be trained and be in good health

Anyone can purchase a vest for a dog, but it is the papers that you might
be asked to provide when your out in a public place That is why these
vests have little pouches on the side of them for the owner to keep the
papers available when asked out in public for proof

It is against the law for someone to come up to you and ask a person
with a service dog, what kind of services does your dog do for you?

But if the come out and tell you that is okay
