No, you don't need to do it immediately, I would probably do it around a year, you don't want a double row very long. I am concerned with your plans not to neuter him. So many males are rehomed because their owners didn't neuter them in time and now they have marking issues. Unneutered dogs are much more likely to die from injuries sustained in a car accident than any other cause. A male dog can smell a bitch in heat up to 10 miles away, and this causes him much stress. I hope you think this over; a male dog goes through so many changes if you allow him to go through puberty. I think it's much better to keep them a little boy all their lives, rather than allowing them to become teenagers!
