I got Kona when she was 7 years old. Her previous owners called her Sweat Pea. While that is a cute name it just didn't feel right to me for my baby. I decided to call her Kona. We started out saying "Sweat Pea Kona" for the first few days but after a week she was answering to Kona all of the time. I was really worried about changing her name after 7 years but she learned quickly.
