We use Interceptor here.
Sentinel is Interceptor, but with an added chitin inhibitor to stop fleas from reproducing. So if flea protection isn't needed, then Interceptor would be the best choice, not Sentinel.

Heartgard is also a great product though.
Heartgard protects against heartworms and Heartgard Plus protects against heartworms and some intestinal parasites. It does look like Heartgard is a large overdose for Yorkies (smallest dose up to 25 pounds), biut Interceptor could also be considered an overdose. Just 1/5 of the Interceptor tab would be sufficient for heartworms (safeheart dose); the other 4/5 is to control intestinal parasites. So both are overdoses...

Interceptor seems to work very well for small breeds and it is my first choice; however, Heartgard is still a good choice...
