Molly had a similar thing happen to her and it turned out to be a partially torn cruciate ligament. It healed without the need for an op...but it did need vets visits and anti inflammatories. I have a very good vet and he didnt need to xray her leg, so please go and see your vet asap...it doesnt need to cost you loads of money.
