I know that this is not what you want to hear, and that things are tight, but if she still isn't putting weight on it then you should take her in. There is not way to tell for certain without x-rays. I have a cousin who had the same thing happen with her dachshund and he was running around fine within a couple days. She assumed it was just a sprain, but is was broken and it healed funny, now it gives him problems and he is becoming arthritic. He is still pretty young and cannot walk very far and has pain in the winter There are things like care credit that you can apply for.
