Make a bed time routine, his grooming, snack, walk, massage, bedtime story, lol, whatever you want...

This is the method that dog trainer Victoria S. used in an episode of "It's Me or the Dog." She was in Scotland to straighten out a spoiled Yorkie who was forcing the husband to sleep in a guest bed.

Victoria put a baby gate at the door to the master bedroom and made the Yorkie sleep in a bed on the other side of the gate. The Yorkie barked in complaint most of the first night.
